Ever since the dawn of mankind we have been looking to the sky for answers. In earlier civilizations humans found meaning in the stars and, in fact, they created entire religions based on their interpretations. Thousands of years later we are still looking up hoping for more information on where we came from and where we are going.
We know that our solar system is just a small part of the Milky Way galaxy which is just one of a billion different galaxies. Photographer Navid Baraty imagines other possible worlds through his artwork.
Baraty uses an Epson photo scanner and common kitchen ingredients to create these remarkable interstellar pictures. The idea was sparked by his fascination and awe of space.
