Artist Makes Grand Statement About Existence With His Photos

We all have experienced that feeling of extreme loneliness and isolation despite being surrounded by people. When living in a big city it is easy to begin questioning the meaning of our existence.

Many people flock to Beijing for work and get lost in the uniformity of the city. Photographer  Zhang Bojun noticed himself in a lot of other people as he made his daily walks around the city.

For the past seven years he has been taking photos of groups of people passing by and editing them to make three-foot-wide tapestries. He named the series “We” and each pattern is supposed to echo the routine of daily life.

You can view more of his work at photographyofchina.
